Weaver at His Best, Whips Browns

The Washington Senators rolled to an easy 7-0 win over the St. Louis Browns at Sportsman's Park IV (AL) today. Leading the way to victory was starter Jim D Weaver, who shackled the St. Louis Browns and held them scoreless on a 4-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Weaver said in his postgame press conference.

Thus far this season, Weaver has tossed 214.2 innings in 27 starts, fanned 101 batters, walked 100 and put up a 3.56 ERA with 12 wins and 9 losses.
