But even the longshot hopes are now gone, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the club's 68th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1870. In total, the Cubs have missed the playoffs 67 times in their 67-year history. Chicago last won the Eastern Championship Series in 1908. |
