Reds Mathematically Out of Playoffs Friday, September 2nd, 1938 Fans of the Cincinnati Reds have long since given up hope of the club making a serious playoff push this season. But now those hopes are officially gone, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. This is the club's 12th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1926. In total, the Reds have missed the playoffs 66 times in their 67-year history. Cincinnati last won the Eastern Championship Series in 1926. |
