Hale Hits in 25 Straight Games Saturday, September 29th, 1934 Odell Hale continued his streak at Baker Bowl today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Philadelphia second baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Phillies were not as fortunate, losing 3-2 to the Boston Braves. "Hale was hitting everything we threw at him," said Boston manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Odell Hale hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Hale is batting .343 with 190 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 89 runs and scored 88 times. |
