Cards Stay Alive With Road Win
St. Louis right fielder Dixie Walker was the key at Moreing Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Cardinals to victory in a critical Game Four of the World Series. The Cardinals took the 10-7 win over the Sacramento Solons and trail 3-1 best-of-seven series.

Walker had a consequential at-bat in the top of the third for the Cardinals. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and St. Louis trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"I don't care a whit about getting a sweep," Walker said. "The only part of it that matters to me is it means we've got a lot of chances to get that last win."

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Mort Cooper for St. Louis and Hilton Smith for Sacramento.
